Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, making them feel comfortable and appreciated
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Take and relay guest orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
- Provide attentive table service, addressing guest needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing information and assistance
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Strong food service knowledge with an understanding of restaurant operations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Effective communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Background in hotel or guest services enhances your ability to deliver exceptional guest relations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of serving techniques, hospitality standards, and phone etiquette
- Proven ability to build positive guest relations through friendly interaction and attentive service
