American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Telemetry Observation position at an acute care hospital in Massachusetts, requiring at least 2 years of telemetry experience and an active MA RN license.

Work in a 10-bed Telemetry Observation unit within an acute care hospital setting
-
Patient population consists primarily of medical observation patients being ruled out for various diagnoses, with occasional overflow surgical patients; typical stays are 24–48 hours

No medication drips administered on this unit

Charting performed in Cerner

Schedule is 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:30)

Weekend requirement: 2–3 weekends (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week schedule

On-call requirement: 5–6 night shifts per 6-week period (22:00–07:00)

Floating required within scope to Med/Surg Telemetry as needed

Local candidates are accepted for this position

Free parking available in unrestricted spaces or in the lot across the street from the hospital

Active Massachusetts (MA) RN license, valid and in hand — pending licenses are not accepted

Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS

Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required

Must be able to function autonomously with strong telemetry competency

Strong familiarity with Cerner or Epic preferred, particularly for first-time travelers

First-time travelers will be considered with 2–3 years of experience and Cerner or Epic experience

Any requested time off must be finalized and submitted prior to signing — no RTO will be added after the contract is signed

Scrub color: any color scrubs are acceptable; no denim material
