Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, constructing, and installing custom cabinetry and woodwork with precision and craftsmanship. This role requires a strong background in carpentry, woodworking, and fabrication, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to produce high-quality finished products. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met while maintaining safety standards in a shop setting.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately produce cabinetry and wood components.
- Cut, shape, assemble, and install cabinets using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery as needed.
- Measure and mark materials precisely for fabrication and assembly.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely throughout the manufacturing process.
- Install cabinetry on-site, including fixture installation, door hanging, and alignment adjustments.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other trades such as drywall, flooring, electrical, plumbing, or masonry when necessary for remodeling or restoration projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in woodworking techniques including framing carpentry and trim carpentry.
- Cabinet finishing experience a plus.
- Experience with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), CNC machinery, and fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, remodeling industry practices, and restoration processes such as water damage restoration or mold remediation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with fixture installation, door hanging, siding installation, roofing basics, cabinet hardware systems, solid surface fabrications and plastic laminate countertop fabrication.
- Experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction, painting or cabinet finishing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics or technical drawings accurately.
