Liberty Adult Day Health is a medical-model adult day health center where adults with disabilities and the elderly attend for daily support. Our CNAs provide activities of daily living support as well as supervision. Liberty Adult Day Health offers transportation, meals, nursing care, social services, and activities throughout the day. Liberty is actively seeking a part- time CNA direct care staff to provide hands on care for our participants.
Schedule is as follows; Friday 8am-4pm and Saturday 8am-2pm
Job Summary
- Provide assistance with personal care exercises, toileting, ambulation, eating. Helps participants to and from transportation safely upon arrival and departure.
- Assists activities coordinator and other program staff in operating activity program services.
- Assists participants with their individual physical and/or social needs.
- Maintain daily flow sheets of care provided.
- Prepare morning and afternoon snacks and assist with the service of the noon meal. This includes setting up and clearing of the dining room.
- Listen and encourage social communication among the participants in group activities and recreation and during down times.
- Monitor status of participants and inform RN/Director as needed of progress, problems, changes in behavior and functioning.
- Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- CPR/First Aid certified
- TB test within three months.
- Physical within a year.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer, and lift 50 pounds or more.
- Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with special needs preferred.
