Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts according to detailed specifications. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficient production workflows. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate CNC machine equipment
- Loading and indicating a large range of part sizes between rotary chucks in CNC machines
- Requires lifting, pulling and pushing of a large range of Die sizes
- Setting and loading all tool holders and tooling needed to machining dies
- Loading and checking machining programs
- Pre and post quality checks of parts (In process checking)
- Following proper safety procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining CNC equipment
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment. Lean manufacturing experience preferred. Prefer classroom or practical training; turning experience on manual and CNC lathes, other machine shop related areas including OD grinding, saw operation, milling, drill press operation, welding, and basic maintenance functions.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages and CAM software for efficient machine setup and operation.
- Requires the ability to calculate fractions, decimals and conversions and to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
- Requires the knowledge of blueprint terminology, the ability to inspect prints for dimensional integrity, and the ability to interpret manufacturing requirements from the print.
- Must be detail oriented and committed to completing work to the highest degree of quality.
- Must possess a high sense of urgency in terms of completing routine and assigned tasks on time.
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
