EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the maintenance, verification, and organization of inmate records at the State Correctional Institution at Coal Township. The role ensures that information is accurate, up to date, and properly communicated to staff and partner agencies. As a Records Specialist 1, you will perform the following duties: Record Maintenance: Collect information, validate content accuracy, and update the Inmate Records SystemDocumentation Review: Examine court orders and related documents to determine actions related to release, confinement, or commitment creditIdentification Processing: Interview, photograph, and fingerprint inmates and explain all applicable policies and proceduresTransport Coordination: Arrange inmate movement for court appearances or release and verify authorization and identity of transporting officialsInformation Communication: Relay required updates to inmates, institutional staff, and outside agencies to ensure accurate and timely information sharingInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00(before taxes).
