Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring travel experience and float capability across multiple campuses.

Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital environment
Night shift schedule (3x12 Hours, 19:00-7:00)
Typical staffing ratio of 1:5
Every other weekend (EOW) required
On-call required with expectation to return to facility within 1 hour when called
Floating required to other campus MS-Tele units (Bucyrus & Galion) as needed to maintain hours

Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive Med/Surg experience in a hospital/acute care setting
Prior travel nursing experience required
Experience with medication scanning required
Epic experience preferred
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and peripheral line care/management
Skilled in respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration
Experience with isolation precautions and PPE

Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Tele setting, including cardiac monitoring and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
Facility does not accept time off requests for major holidays
Candidates with minimal to no RTO are preferred
Smoke-free facility and campus
Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being submitted for this position
