Overview
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting shoppers in-store, accurately fulfilling and packing online orders, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.
Duties
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer questions about products, pricing, and promotions.
- Provide product recommendations and help customers find merchandise.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges according to company policies.
Online Order Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, and prepare online orders for shipping or customer pickup.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure items are packaged securely.
- Maintain organization of online order inventory and staging areas.
- Coordinate with management regarding order status, inventory discrepancies, and shipping needs.
Store Maintenance & Merchandising
- Keep the sales floor, stockroom, and work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Restock merchandise and maintain attractive product displays.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items.
- Ensure the store is presented professionally at all times.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are advantageous for growth opportunities
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, POS operations, and retail math calculations
- Ability to stand, walk, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment comfortably
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
