Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration and patient care in assisted living. Responsibilities
- Safely administer prescribed medications following all protocols and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist residents or patients with activities of daily living, catheter care, and mobility support.
- Document medical records meticulously, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to update care plans and communicate patient needs effectively.
- Support patients with dementia or memory care needs by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to their condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and safety protocols in assisted living or hospital settings.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) or equivalent state license required.
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration techniques.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments like Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.25 per hour
