Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working environment at our commercial construction site. This position involves implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Safety Coordinator will work closely with management and employees to foster a culture of safety and health.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and development programs on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with management on workers' compensation claims and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents to prevent future occurrences and improve workplace safety.
- Stay updated on EPA regulations and occupational health standards to ensure compliance within the facility.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics and present findings to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a safety-related role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation law, EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), and EPA regulations.
- Strong skills in report writing and documentation related to safety practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in occupational health or safety training are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train employees effectively on safety protocols.
- Strong analytical skills for conducting root cause analysis of incidents.
