Overview
San Juan Regional Kidney Care, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant for a Peritoneal Dialysis clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care by taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, recording medical history, giving injections as permitted by state law, patient blood draws, perform basic laboratory tests, and scheduling of patient appointments.
- Answering phone calls, process paperwork, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff and medical providers. Other duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate patient data entry and medical records, basic understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care and develop and implement individualized plans of care.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records. (EHR) systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
