The primary role of a Best Western Northwest Lodge hotel front desk agent is to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure a positive guest experience. This includes tasks such as checking guests in and out, managing reservations, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that may occur. As the initial point of contact for guests, they are essential in creating a welcoming and efficient atmosphere within the hotel.

- Warmly greet and assist guests in a positive and friendly manner.
- Maintain a consistent presence at the front desk.
- Conduct check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Complete the required checklist specific to each shift.
- Handle billing, post charges, and manage payments.
- Oversee room availability, create reservations, and answer phone calls.
- Possess a general knowledge of the local area.
- Anticipate guest needs, identify issues, and respond promptly.
- Communicate effectively with guests and other team members.
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff regarding room status and guest requests.
- Secure guest information, keys, and cash drawer.
- Comply with Garner Hotel standards and promote brand loyalty.
- Ensure cleanliness of the front desk and lobby areas.
- Multitask and prioritize duties for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain a professional appearance in dress and demeanor.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred customer service experience.
- Preferred experience in the hotel industry.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours (accommodations available for all ADA qualified candidates).
- Availability to work weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
