Overview
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Northern Family Dentistry. The mission of our dental team is to provide the highest quality of dental care in the most comfortable environment for the patient. We are seeking a team member that will have the same goal and mission. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, and will strive to maintain a professional, efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be confident and compassionate, and be able to multi-task and work both independently and as a member of a team.
Candidates must be articulate, personable, have exceptional time management skills, be capable of working as a member of a team, and be capable of working in a fast paced environment. Dental experience is preferred, however not necessary. Emphasis will be placed on candidates who are adaptable and willing to learn and grow.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, both in person and on the phone
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
-Collect copays at the time of service
- Utilize dental software/Dentrix for patient data management
- Perform general clerical tasks
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental or Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in using computerized systems for appointment scheduling and patient information management
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures would be a bonus
- Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
