Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team and drive excellence in maintaining comfortable, safe, and efficient indoor environments. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across various properties. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to identify issues before they escalate.
- Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration system servicing.
- Read and interpret schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation and repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical failures in equipment such as boilers or refrigeration units using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including proper handling of refrigerants like ammonia and adherence to environmental regulations.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to improve overall building efficiency.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for equipment transport or on-site visits.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a strong background in construction or property maintenance environments.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, pumps, piping systems, welding techniques, and general equipment repair is essential.
- Prior field service experience working on air conditioning units, ventilation systems, or HVAC/R equipment is required.
- Familiarity with plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations or repairs will be advantageous.
- Certification or experience in refrigerant handling (including ammonia) is a plus.

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
