What You'll Own
-
Scope, implement, and operate all event technology across in-person, virtual, and hybrid programs
-
Build and manage registration platforms (Swoogo, RainFocus, Cvent) from initial architecture through post-event analytics
-
Own the attendee data lifecycle: database management, list segmentation, data hygiene, and year-over-year analytics that actually mean something
-
Drive client communications through the tech stack (invitations, confirmations, surveys) in partnership with account teams
-
Integrate event platforms with CRM/marketing systems (Salesforce, Marketo, HubSpot) – making data flow seamlessly
-
Partner with AV/production vendors to align registration, apps, streaming, and audience engagement tools with technical production plans
-
Negotiate contracts and scope SOWs with technology vendors – you'll manage both relationships and budgets
-
Create SOPs and runbooks that actually get used – documentation that helps our team scale without sacrificing quality
-
Lead onsite execution: configure check-in flows, oversee registration operations, troubleshoot in real-time when things inevitably get interesting
-
Generate post-event dashboards and insights that make clients look brilliant to their leadership
-
Stay ahead of emerging tech (AI tools, engagement platforms, whatever's next) and bring innovations that enhance ROI
-
Potentially manage other event technology specialists as we grow
What You'll Bring
-
4+ years managing event technology in agency, corporate, or tech provider environments
-
Deep expertise in enterprise platforms (Swoogo, RainFocus, Cvent, Bizzabo, Stova) – you've built, broken, and fixed them all
-
Technical fluency across event production – you understand AV signal flow, streaming setups, and how everything connects
-
Advanced Excel/Sheets skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, data manipulation that would make a data analyst jealous)
-
Experience integrating platforms with CRMs and marketing automation tools
-
Preferred: HTML/CSS knowledge and comfort working with developers on customizations
-
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills – you protect budgets and timelines
-
Ability to translate between technical complexity and human language for clients
-
Proven ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously without dropping details
-
Most importantly: ability to work independently with minimal oversight (we don't have time for hand-holding)
-
Flexibility for travel (20%) and non-traditional hours during event periods

We're a boutique agency where every person matters and there's nowhere to hide mediocre work. Our clients are aggressive-growth startups and enterprises who expect excellence. If that sounds intimidating rather than exciting, this isn't the role for you.
