Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. This vital role combines administrative oversight with comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring the smooth financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficiency with Quickbooks, and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records. In this role, you will assist the Board of Trustees by managing financial transactions, working with our CPA and preparing essential reports. Your energetic approach and meticulous attention to detail will contribute significantly to our organizational success and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and banking transactions using QuickBooks,
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to support organizational transparency and strategic planning.
- Oversee compliance with governmental accounting standards for non-profit or corporate entities.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, journal entries, and supporting documentation for audits or reviews.
- Interact with congregants and Leadership Teams as required.
Skills
- Extensive experience with accounting software QuickBooks, Excel Spreadsheets and Word.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting procedures is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in time management and people skills.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
