Production Controller 1

Location: Oxnard, CA – On-site
Pay Rate: $25–$37/hr W2
Contract: 12 Months
Job Summary:
Northrop Grumman is looking for a Production Controller 1 to support manufacturing and production operations in Oxnard, CA. This role will focus on managing inventory, materials, production kits, and the movement of parts to ensure production stays on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and track inventory and materials for production.
- Receive, record, and distribute incoming materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using an ERP/MRP system.
- Prepare and manage production kits and research missing parts.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve material issues.
- Perform cycle counts and verify quantities, part numbers, revisions, and storage locations.
- Move and expedite materials between departments to support production schedules.
- Identify material shortages and help resolve them quickly.
- Pack and ship materials using UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
- Maintain proper material traceability and follow company quality procedures.
- Support 5S and continuous improvement activities.
- Use Microsoft Office and other software to track work and meet deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with inventory or warehouse operations.
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system; Deltek Costpoint experience is preferred.
- Ability to use a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with kitting in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working between manufacturing and inventory teams.
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify material shortages.
Pay: $25.63 - $37.00 per hour
