Are you a motivated healthcare professional with leadership experience and a passion for exceptional customer service? Bitterroot Health is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to lead our Patient Access team in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!
About the Role
As the Patient Access Supervisor, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Patient Access department while supporting a team dedicated to providing outstanding service to patients throughout our clinics and ancillary departments. Working under the general supervision of the Patient Access Manager, you'll help ensure a positive patient experience while supporting accurate registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and revenue cycle processes that contribute to the financial success of Bitterroot Health.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and support Patient Access staff in their daily responsibilities
- Oversee patient appointment scheduling and registration processes
- Ensure accurate insurance verification and patient demographic information
- Coordinate telephone coverage and customer service activities
- Assist with patient referrals and point-of-service collections
- Maintain accurate data entry and secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Promote positive patient relations and high levels of customer satisfaction
- Support efficient department operations while contributing to Bitterroot Health's financial success
Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate degree preferred
- Experience
- Prior scheduling, patient accounts, unit clerk, or medical assistant experience required
- Minimum one year of registration, billing, or related healthcare experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience preferred
