Responsibilities
- Deliver direct behavioral therapy sessions based on individualized treatment plans aligned with the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Collect and analyze behavioral data during sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and skill development.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support clients in reducing challenging behaviors and increasing adaptive skills.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and caregivers to provide updates, education, and support for home-based interventions.
- Collaborate with supervising behavior analysts to develop, review, and update care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Skills
- Experience working with children and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education strategies.
- Strong data collection skills to track behavioral progress accurately during therapy sessions.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior intervention protocols effectively.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical documentation standards.
- Experience working in home-based settings or school environments supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent client communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and ethical compliance consistent with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
