Responsibilities
- Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
- Supervises the Engineering team and all projects from start to completion.
- Leads, trains, and develops skills of the Engineering team to get optimum performance and productivity.
- Evaluates all costs associated with each project including materials, costs of labor, and time expended.
- Responsible for delegating tasks to Engineering team.
- Supervises staff training as well as equipment installation.
- Patrols the interior and perimeter of the hotel to observe and identifies potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
- Maintains order in the hotel, dealing with the welfare of guests, coordinates expedient response to emergency conditions such as fire, safety hazards, and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
- Responsible for ensuring time-based maintenance is completed according to timely repair schedules.
- Inspects equipment and conducts routine maintenance, replacing old or faulty equipment.
- Provides technical support and training on all new equipment.
- Be familiar with all applicable laws and codes to ensure proper compliance.
- Memorizes and monitors life safety system including accurate layout of entire building, locations of standpipes, fire extinguishers, completes alarm reports, and checks and reports any pertinent information from each shift.
- Responds to guest complaints, conducts research to develop the most effective solutions.
- Manages the planning, scheduling, and coordinating all the preventive maintenance.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes renovation projects.
- Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of engineering and customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred.
- Should be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members.
- Have a strong attention to details.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be a team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
