Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing bid specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure competitive pricing. Your expertise will help us secure new projects and maintain our reputation for quality and reliability in the construction industry.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates
- Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate contracts
- Perform cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments to optimize project budgets
- Assist in the development of project schedules and coordinate with project management teams
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation for future reference
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or residential projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and labor costs
- Proficiency with estimating or project management software
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications
- Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable to understand field conditions
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
