Position Title: Operations Manager (Full-time / salaried)
The highlights
unVReal VR Lounge is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of our virtual reality entertainment facility. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent guest experiences, maintaining equipment, handling cash management, managing marketing programs, and driving revenue through promotions and events. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous management or supervisory experience in entertainment, hospitality, retail, or food service preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
- Basic knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and inventory management
- Basic knowledge of Windows PC environments
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills for virtual reality machines is a plus
What you’ll do:
- Create all operational policies and procedures
- Oversee daily operations and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Supervise, schedule, train, and motivate staff
- Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally
- Monitor games and equipment; coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed
- Manage cash handling, deposits, inventory, and reporting procedures
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Track sales performance and assist with budgeting and revenue goals
- Plan and execute promotions, birthday parties, tournaments, and special events
- Update social media accounts and manage marketing plans
- Maintain proper stock levels for supplies and concessions
- Work closely with ownership or upper management to improve operations and guest satisfaction
- Open and close the facility as required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Comfortability working in a loud and active environment
