Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional critical care services in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will possess extensive ICU experience, demonstrating proficiency in managing complex patient needs within a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver top-tier patient care across diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals and trauma centers, while supporting patients through their most critical moments. The Travel ICU RN will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care, utilizing advanced clinical skills, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care nursing to patients in intensive care units, including Level I and Level II trauma centers, PICU, and emergency departments.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and assess patient conditions to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, following strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Manage airway support with ventilators and perform advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and sterile technique practices.
- Coordinate with physicians and specialists for procedures like cardiac catheterization, laboratory testing, and infectious disease management.
- Document patient care accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in triage assessments for incoming patients and participate in discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions of care.
- Support patients with complex needs such as those requiring dialysis, hospice & palliative medicine, or memory care services.
Requirements
- Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the ICU and 2 years' of RN experience
- PCU experience is preferred
- Ability to float to PCU and between campuses as needed
- Every other weekend and 1 holiday per contract if needed
- Prior travel nursing experience considered advantageous
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA only)

Pay: $2,459.00 - $2,644.60 per week
