Reports to: Materials Planning Coordinator

Role Objective: As a Production Control Specialist, your objective is to ensure timely delivery of all components to support production requirements.
What will your day look like?
Forecasting supplier requirements
Cycle count validation and feedback
Review purchase orders and place order to suppliers
Analyze inventory daily
Identify potential problem part numbers
Track and update QAD, Customer's Systems: On QAD - Min/Max, Period orders, transit times, QPC
Maintain supplier performance metrics
Communicate problems to the appropriate supplier
Follow up with corrective actions/spot buys to ensure no interruptions in production
Monitor and maintain bills of material and QAD system
Additional responsibilities as required - this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

Education & Experience
Education
Experience
QAD/ERP experience (Required)
Experience in new program coordination & engineering changes preferred (Required)
Experience in direct dealings with O.E.M., customers & suppliers (Required)
Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience (Required)
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
QAD, ERP or similar system; basic troubleshooting
Knowledge of freight arrangements, cycle counting procedures & bill of materials
Knowledge of manufacturing Bill of Material and MRP
Adept at math/calculating raw material needs
