Position Overview
Fortress Coatings is seeking a reliable, tech-savvy Warehouse & Shipping Assistant to join our growing team. This role is critical to maintaining smooth daily operations, ensuring accurate inventory tracking, and managing the safe movement of materials. The ideal candidate is a proficient computer user who can easily navigate shipping software, holds a valid driver’s license, and possesses strong forklift operation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping & Tech: Process outgoing orders using shipping software, generate accurate labels, and manage inventory databases.
- Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, stack, and move heavy materials throughout the warehouse.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, verify, and prepare customer orders accurately for daily shipment.
- Driving Duties: Transport inventory using company vehicles when required.
- Warehouse Care: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Computer Skills: Must be highly proficient with computers, digital inventory systems, and shipping software.
- Driving License: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean, safe driving record.
- Forklift Experience: Proven experience and skills operating a forklift safely.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for long periods.
- Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a reliable team-player attitude.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
