John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc. is hiring for a receptionist position in our Garden City funeral home. This is a part-time position, offering 15-20 working hours per week. This position requires alternating morning, evening, weekend and occasional Holiday shifts.
Receptionist duties include:
- Serving visitors by greeting, welcoming them, in person or on the telephone; directing them appropriately.
- Notifying company personnel of visitor arrival.
- Setting up funeral service/visiting rooms.
- Handling flowers, food trays, etc. for families; must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean facility, inside and outside.
- Collecting courier deliveries and mail.
Ideal Candidate will have the following qualities/abilities:
- Friendly and polite.
- Multi-line telephone skills.
- Customer focused.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to multitask.
- Handles pressure.
- Supply management.
- Excellent listening skills and polished communication skills.
