American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (IMC) position in Washington, DC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active DC RN license.

Position is based in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within a hospital setting
-
Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)

13-week travel contract

Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — AHA-issued certifications only

CPI certification is mandated for this position

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a U.S. hospital required

Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
-
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required

BSN highly desired

Cerner EMR experience required

Active U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration

Date of birth required for consideration

Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Responsible for performing initial and ongoing patient assessments, including full review of systems, and documenting findings in accordance with policy

Delivers patient care in a competent, caring, and efficient manner with awareness of age-appropriate care across the lifespan

Completes admission assessments within established timeframes per facility policy

Candidates must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
