Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for new dishes.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Ensure all dishes are plated attractively and meet quality standards before serving.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or fine dining environment.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food preparation methods, safety practices, and culinary trends.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
