Class would be in session Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 11:30am with additional prep hours included in your contract. 7.5 per week with students and 3.5 hours of paid prep!
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3-Year-Old Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during this critical stage of early childhood development. Duties
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to 3-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and promote active learning experiences.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid and CPR procedures, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare policies.
- Manage classroom routines effectively to support smooth transitions, nap times, meals, and structured activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and special education accommodations when needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to 3-year-olds and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young children.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering social skills and emotional regulation.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood education preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare practices is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively using standardized testing results when applicable.
- Knowledge of preschool teaching methods, classroom management techniques, and early childhood education standards.
