Behavior Technician
Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with skill acquisition programs, including communication, social skills, and daily living skills
- Support clients in community-based settings, such as schools or homes
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and modify behavior plans as needed
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or related developmental disabilities is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients and their families
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior plans accurately
- Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training and professional development
