FREELANCE ARCHITECTURAL DRAFTSPERSON
Mojo Stumer Associates, P.C. is an architecture and interior design firm specializing in high-end residential and select commercial projects throughout Long Island, the Hamptons, and New York City. We are seeking an experienced freelance architectural draftsperson to provide production support on an as-needed basis.
Position Overview
This freelance position is intended to supplement our in-house production team as project demands require. Work will be assigned on a project-by-project basis and may be compensated hourly or as a fixed fee, depending on scope.
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience working in an architecture office and be comfortable producing drawing sets independently while coordinating with senior project staff.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of construction documents for luxury residential and commercial projects
- Production of both interior and architectural/core-and-shell drawing sets
- Coordination of drawings in accordance with firm standards and project requirements
- Ability to work independently with periodic direction from senior project managers
- Management of assigned deadlines and deliverables across multiple projects as required
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of drafting experience within an architecture firm required
- Experience with both residential and commercial project types
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Architecture required
- Must maintain own licensed software and computer equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and provide reliable turnaround on assignments
- Availability to accept work on a flexible, as-needed basis
Compensation
Compensation will be structured on an hourly or per-project basis, depending on the scope of work and level of involvement.
