POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safe operation of the Extrusion presses. Checks for correctness of the metal dimensions and that the metal extrusion speed is at its maximum.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate press at highest speed for production, at the same time watching not to cause damage to product. Adjust speed accordingly.
- Maintain the proper temperature on furnace to heat aluminum billets.
- Change temperature on furnace for different alloys of billets and dies for production.
- Assist press foreman on checking extrusion for breaks and surface quality.
- Responsible for proper billet counts on weight needed.
- Check press for any damages occurring during use. Assist maintenance men if any downtime occurred.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of one (1) year of Extrusion press operation and high school diploma or equivalent
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
