A high-end home door installer specializes in installing premium residential doors with a strong focus on craftsmanship, precision, appearance, and customer service. Duties often include:
- Measuring door openings and reviewing blueprints or specifications
- Installing luxury entry doors, interior doors, sliding doors, French doors, pivot doors, and custom wood or metal doors
- Working with premium materials such as solid wood, mahogany, fiberglass, steel, glass, and custom hardware
- Ensuring doors are level, plumb, weather-sealed, and operate smoothly
- Installing and adjusting hinges, locks, handles, closers, smart locks, and decorative hardware
- Trimming, shimming, and finishing doors for an exact fit and high-end appearance
- Very fine attention to detail and finish quality
- Ability to work inside occupied luxury homes professionally
- Knowledge of custom millwork and finish carpentry
- Experience with oversized or specialty doors
- Understanding of security and smart-home door systems
