Myco & Meli is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Production Assistant to help craft our premium mushroom-infused honey products.
This is a great position for someone with experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, catering, food manufacturing, or other food production environment who enjoys organized, independent, hands-on work. MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT HEAVY BUCKETS (60lbs) AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT REPEATEDLY.
Hours are flexible between Mondays and Tuesdays for production, with some labeling hours available later in the week. Hours will continue to increase as the business grows, including packing and shipping online orders. Ideal candidates are looking for a flexible part-time job as supplemental income and can commit to long-term employment.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, bakery, catering, or food production experience required
- Must be able to safely lift 60 lb honey buckets and other heavy kitchen equipment repeatedly during a shift
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to accurately follow recipes and written procedures
- A good eye and care for quality control and food safety
- Reliable transportation to our commercial kitchen in Saint Nazianz
- Repetitive motions and ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
- Self-motivated and able to work independently after training
- Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and producing high-quality products
Responsibilities
- Mix and prepare mushroom honey products following established recipes
- Fill jars accurately and consistently
- Apply labels and batch information
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Wash and sanitize glass jars and equipment
- Assist with inventory and production organization as needed
