Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Areospace CNC set-up man and operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machinery, ensuring precision and quality in production processes. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, safety protocols, and quality standards to support efficient factory operations and product excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery, including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes,
- Set up machines according to specifications, reading blueprints and applying GD&T standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Handle materials and packaging processes as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and conducting regular inspections.
- Use hand tools, tooling, and fabrication equipment effectively for production tasks.
- Collaborate with team members on projects involving CAD design, SolidWorks modeling, CAM programming, or CNC programming.
- Support quality control procedures by inspecting finished products against specifications.
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment when required for materials handling.
Skills
- Proficiency with Fanuc controls, CAD software like SolidWorks, and CAM programming.
- Experience operating machining equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes.
- Strong blueprint reading skills along with knowledge of GD&T principles for precise manufacturing.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, materials handling, fabrication processes, and factory operations.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, accurately.
- Familiarity with factory safety standards, quality control procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with packaging and assembly line operations is a plus.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection processes.
