Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated and high-performing team
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while enhancing the customer shopping experience
- Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships to ensure product availability and optimal pricing
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, facilitate ongoing training & development programs, and promote a positive work environment
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting; handle cashiering duties as needed
- Monitor store performance metrics through retail math analysis; prepare reports for senior management on sales trends and operational efficiency
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, maintaining phone etiquette, and resolving issues effectively
- Oversee marketing initiatives within the store to attract new customers and retain existing ones
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, merchandising, and pricing strategies
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, and training & development
- Proficiency with POS systems, bookkeeping software, payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and retail math
- Experience in supervising teams with a focus on leadership, organization skills, time management, and employee engagement
- Ability to handle administrative tasks such as budgeting, purchasing decisions, stock control, and record keeping accurately
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stock stocking and merchandising efforts
- Previous assistant manager experience or similar roles that involve shift management are highly desirable
