Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality during busy service hours
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support kitchen operations by organizing supplies, managing prep stations, and assisting with inventory control
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely food delivery and exceptional service standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service environments; restaurant or fine dining experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
