POSITION PURPOSE :

As our Youth Activities Coordinator, you’ll be the creative force behind programs that make a real difference in young lives. You’ll design and lead activities that encourage personal growth, teamwork, and resilience. Your work will directly influence how youth see themselves, their peers, and their place in the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities such as, art projects, STEM challenges, and homework assistance, and more.
- Provide community outreach opportunities for children/youth to participate in a variety of appropriate educational, recreational, and self-development activities.
- Develop seasonal activity calendars that balance fun, learning, and skill-building.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Complete written documentation of program activities as needed for yearly reports and agency funding sources, including youth assessments. .
- Mentor and guide youth, modeling positive behavior and encouraging personal responsibility.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of community resources and activities for Youth.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation, and maintain the assigned youth files in a timely manner within Salesforce and other data systems as assigned,
- Manage youth-related programs and activities, including completing case plan goals and working with the team on completing the goals monthly with the family.
- Adhere to STF and ARM policies and procedures.
- Additional tasks deemed necessary by management to meet program requirements and needs.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Save the Family Foundation of Arizona.
- Demonstrated familiarity with Save the Family’s service population, including diverse cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
- Be a self-starter with excellent time management skills.
- Possess a collaborative way of working.
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Behave professionally in manner and appearance.
- Be consistently organized and flexible.
MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required
- Possess a minimum of two years of experience working in a paid role with school aged children- required
- Must be able to work outside of traditional office hours and occasional weekends as needed.
- Prior experience working with children who have behavioral or emotional support needs is preferred.
- Some experience in the non-profit sector is preferred.
- Prior experience managing and/or working with volunteers is preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Be able to proficiently speak, read and write the English language.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Since position requires frequent driving to various job sites to provide services and occasionally transport clients, a valid Arizona driver’s license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and clean driving record are required
- Be 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
