Are you a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth? We are seeking an energetic Sales Manager to join our leadership team at a full-service hotel located in the Oakland/Alameda area.
Position Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating room revenue, meeting and event business, and developing long-term partnerships within the corporate, airline, sports, entertainment, government, and group travel segments. This role focuses on proactive sales efforts, account management, and achieving hotel revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Prospect and secure new corporate, group, and local business accounts.
- Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, and client presentations.
- Manage and grow existing accounts through relationship-building and exceptional service.
- Respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and close business opportunities.
- Collaborate with hotel operations teams to ensure successful event and guest experiences.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and community functions to promote the hotel.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and account information in CRM systems.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities.
- Participate in weekly revenue and sales strategy meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred.
- Full-service hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Local market knowledge of Oakland/Alameda/Berkeley is a plus.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
