Home Health Biller - Full-Time - In Office
Pay: $21 to $28 per hour

Abbot Home Health, a Medicare-certified home health agency, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Home Health Biller to join our office team in Riverside, California.
The ideal candidate has medical billing experience and is comfortable handling claim submission, payment posting, insurance follow-up, denials, and accounts receivable. Previous experience with home health billing, Medicare claims, or Axxess is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit home health claims accurately and timely
- Assist with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, and commercial insurance billing, as applicable
- Track claim status, rejected claims, denied claims, and outstanding accounts receivable
- Follow up with payers regarding unpaid or denied claims
- Post payments and review remittance information
- Identify missing documentation, authorization, or billing issues affecting claim submission
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve billing issues
- Maintain organized billing records and reports
- Assist with payer requests, audits, and billing-related documentation as needed
Qualifications
- Medical billing experience preferred
- Home health billing experience strongly preferred
- Medicare home health billing experience is a plus
- Experience with Axxess or another home health billing platform is preferred
- Familiarity with claim submission, payment posting, denials, and accounts receivable
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with staff and insurance payers
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Compensation and Benefits
