POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Maintenance Technician is primarily for the following:
-
Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment, facility systems, and building grounds. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime, maximize production efficiency, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, installing, and maintaining industrial machinery and facility systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Comply with all requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and follow established policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Notify management of any actual or potential deviations from documented processes, quality standards, or safety requirements.

Install, test, commission, and support the startup of new or relocated production equipment.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems on production equipment.

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
-
Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine root causes to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
-
Inspect production equipment and facility systems to identify maintenance needs and potential failures.
-
Develop, execute, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to maximize equipment reliability and extend asset life.

Perform equipment calibration and replace worn or defective components as required.

Complete basic facility maintenance and building repairs as needed.
-
Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and established safety practices.
-
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely maintenance records using written and electronic maintenance management systems.

Communicate maintenance priorities, equipment status, and project updates to management using approved communication methods.
-
Provide recommendations that improve equipment reliability, productivity, safety, and maintenance processes.
-
Work collaboratively with other departments to support operational objectives.
-
Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers and peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote open, effective communication within and across departments.

Train and mentor maintenance technicians and production personnel on equipment operation, preventive maintenance practices, and safety procedures, as assigned.

Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic as needed.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials.

Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance or repair activities.

Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history in written and electronic systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Technical certification, vocational training, or an associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

EXPERIENCE: 5+ year(s) in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, facilities maintenance OR demonstrated ability to execute the Essential Functions for this position. Internships and PT experience acceptable. Experience within a manufacturing environment and in an ISO regulated environment is preferred but not required.
