American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Wound/Ostomy Care position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and an active Wound Care Certification, with every other weekend availability.

Hospital-based Wound Care unit

Patient population spans all age groups: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Every other weekend required

13-week contract

Charting performed in Epic
-
Active AZ RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required
-
Wound Care Certification from ABWM or NAWCO required; pending certification may be considered for candidates with exceptionally strong wound care and ostomy experience

Minimum 3 years of wound care experience required

Proficiency in Epic EMR required

Strong skills in wound assessment, staging, treatment planning, and clinical documentation

Ability to function independently and serve as a subject matter expert in wound and ostomy care

Responsibilities include independently addressing consults, assessing and staging wounds, recommending treatment plans, and thoroughly documenting in Epic

Strong emphasis on staff education and interdisciplinary collaboration

Orientation is held on a bi-weekly basis
