Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and well-being.
- Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems or EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems.
- Support clinical staff by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe environment following aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient conditions closely, report changes promptly to nursing staff, and participate in emergency response protocols including basic life support when necessary.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health management strategies.
- Assist with catheter care, wound care, phlebotomy procedures, and other medical tasks under supervision while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Support patient service activities in outpatient clinics or inpatient units across various departments such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or post-acute care settings.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs; experience in dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with compassion for patient-centered care; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
