*This is an on-site position located in Shreveport, LA*
Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor the daily activities of the Accounts receivables portfolio by collecting payments from customers and applying those payments to respective invoices in order to mitigate the company's loss exposure and help maximize business profits
- Collection and application of Customer payments
- Knowledge of banking processes and reconciliations
- Participate in monthly/quarterly financial closing and business performance reporting and forecasting process
- Responsible for invoicing in LN for both entities, where invoicing is not automated
- Enters invoices into customer portals for payments, regardless of entity
- Email/phone correspondence: Collection work
- Handles customer POD requests
- Follows up with portal issues for customers for which they are responsible
- Assists with sales reconciliations
- Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external parties. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional and cooperative manner.
- May assist co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service and demonstrating team work skills. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
- Perform other services as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- No certification required.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting/collections experience
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
- Exhibits strong analytical ability and diligently performs assigned tasks with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work within a diverse team and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit a high degree of professionalism including the ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
- Highly organized and capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to demonstrate critical thinking skill capabilities.
- Computer proficient with the capability of performing at an intermediate or advanced level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products (specifically Word and Excel) or similar software applications.
