Sunshine State Academy, a private Preschool–8th Grade school in Hollywood, Florida, is seeking an energetic and passionate First Grade Teacher to join our growing academic team.
We are looking for a teacher who can create a classroom where children are excited to read, write, explore, build, problem-solve, and learn.
What You'll Do
- Teach Reading, Phonics, Writing, Math, Science & Social Studies
- Create engaging, hands-on and interactive lessons
- Provide small-group and differentiated instruction
- Build strong foundational reading and mathematics skills
- Track student progress and use assessment data to drive instruction
- Maintain a positive, organized, and academically focused classroom
- Communicate professionally with parents
- Collaborate with teachers and school leadership
- Participate in PLCs, professional development, and school activities
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required
- Florida Teaching Certificate or Statement of Eligibility preferred
- First Grade or elementary teaching experience preferred
- Strong phonics, literacy, and classroom management skills
- Creative, energetic, dependable, and organized
- A teacher who genuinely enjoys working with young learners
Compensation & Benefits
$55,000 Annual Salary
