What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of professional sewing experience
- Strong alterations and tailoring skills
- Experience reading, modifying, and creating patterns
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
- Professional references required

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Seamstress Tailor Sewist Alterations Specialist to join our vibrant fashion retail team. Responsibilities
- Perform clothing alterations and repairs with precision, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and adjusting fit for both men’s and women’s wear tailoring.
- Use sewing machines, hand sewing techniques, and pressing machines to ensure flawless garment construction and finishing.
- Operate pressing machines and press garments to achieve professional quality results while maintaining fabric integrity.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their alteration needs, providing expert advice on fabric materials and garment care.
- Manage garment fitting sessions, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fit and comfort for each client.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper handling of sewing tools, fabrics, and pressing equipment.
- Collaborate with team members on custom apparel production projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in fashion retail environments with a focus on clothing alterations and garment sewing.
- Strong knowledge of fabric materials, stitching techniques, and garment construction principles.
- Skilled in operating sewing machines, pressing machines, and press operation for professional finishing.
- Expertise in hand sewing for detailed or delicate repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly about alterations and fabric care.
- Familiarity with men's wear tailoring, women's wear tailoring, and custom apparel production processes.
- Basic math skills for measurements, pattern adjustments, and calculations related to alterations.
