Mountain Mike’s Pizza is a fast-paced, high-volume quick-service restaurant serving the Cypress community. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Shift Lead who can take responsibility for running the store during assigned shifts and supporting both front- and back-of-house operations.
This position is for someone who wants leadership responsibility, not just hours. Shift Leads are expected to guide the team, maintain standards, and ensure smooth operations throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team during assigned shifts and ensure smooth operations
- Assign stations, manage breaks, and maintain proper coverage
- Ensure food quality, speed, cleanliness, and service standards
- Train and coach team members on the floor
- Handle customer concerns professionally
- Open and/or close the store as assigned
- Handle basic cash and POS responsibilities
- Enforce food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate shift issues to management
What This Role Is Not
- Not a back-of-house-only position
- Not a “clock in and work your station” role
- Not suitable for someone who does not want leadership responsibility
Growth & Advancement
- Shift Lead compensation is capped within the posted range. Advancement beyond this role requires expanded responsibility and management training. Strong performers may be considered for Assistant Manager opportunities (if available in future)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or kitchen experience, with prior shift lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, customer service standards, and high-volume shifts
- Proven reliability, attendance, and consistency with scheduling
- Comfortable leading, training, and holding team members accountable
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and make decisions under pressure
- Familiarity with POS systems, food safety regulations, and basic cash handling
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mindset
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English for leadership and customer-facing duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
