Senior Account Executive, Strategic Communications, Talent (West Hollywood, CA)
LOCATION
West Hollywood, CA (hybrid, in office 3-4 days a week)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage selected accounts with guidance and direction from the division head

Serve as day-to-day internal lead and external contact for selected accounts
-
Oversee workflow, deadlines, budgets, and resources (both team and dollars) for selected accounts
-
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and media representatives
-
Assign, supervise, mentor and manage the activities of an Account Coordinator and Account Executive
-
Generate strategic communication plans for selected accounts with an eye to developing smart, fresh and buzz-worthy ideas

Organize and lead brainstorm/ideation sessions with internal team members
-
Keep Division head apprised of account status including big ideas, issues and opportunities
-
Be alert to opportunities for additional assignments from current clients, and look for ways for Full Picture to become more essential to their roster of external partners

Pitch and secure media coverage across print, digital, broadcast, podcasts, and emerging platforms
-
Coordinate and cover clients at press junkets, red carpets, premieres, appearances and media tours

Prepare clients for interviews and public appearances through media training, briefing materials, and messaging
-
Manage multiple accounts simultaneously while ensuring exceptional client service and meeting deadlines
-
Participate as required in new business pitch submissions and meetings
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Ability to think both strategically and creatively as well as connect the dots

Effective organizational and project management skills

Excellent verbal, written, presentation, organizational and follow-up skills a must
-
Ability to write interesting, creative, and effective profile pitches
-
Possess strong interpersonal skills

Able to work in a team environment- someone who is an enthusiastic team player and has the ability to get along with others

Networking with media, PR professionals and industry events, a must
-
Natural affinity for client service and experience working with a variety of client types and personalities
-
Skilled and comfortable presenting to clients in both formal and informal settings
-
Able to work well and remain both calm and solution-oriented under pressure, i.e. multiple deadlines and tight turnaround schedules
-
Polished, professional, mature demeanor
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
-
5-6 years of PR experience working with talent/individuals
-
At least 3 years of experience managing others
-
Agency experience desired, but not required
-
4-year college degree
-
Hands-on experience writing clear, interesting, effective press releases, media alerts, press pitches, and other materials
-
Established relationships with long lead, short lead and online editors in entertainment, beauty, fashion and lifestyle sectors
-
Established relationships with beauty, fashion and entertainment brands
-
Strong and current understanding of social media platforms and an ability to increase personal brand awareness and generate press through this landscape
SKILLS & QUALITIES

Manage and lead day-to-day for some of the agency’s top clients

Conceptualize and execute strategic communication plans across clients

Able to lead, encourage, mentor, and develop junior staff members

Effective organizational and project management skills

Proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines

Possess knowledge of the corporate business media industry as well as popular culture
