ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER (AGM) – JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Operations
Reports To: General Manager
Status: Full-Time, Salaried
Locations: All X3 Sports Clubs
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a critical, sales-driven leadership role within X3 Sports clubs. The AGM directly supports the General Manager in driving revenue, developing sales talent, and executing daily operations while serving as a visible leader on the floor.
This role is heavily focused on sales performance, with particular emphasis on:
Supporting and influencing Personal Training (PT) sales
Supporting and influencing Membership Coach (MC) sales
Coaching, accountability, and execution — even without direct managerial authority
The AGM acts as the operational and sales extension of the GM and is expected to lead through influence, presence, and performance.
Increased membership sales conversion
Increased PT sales production and trainer engagement
Strong daily sales execution and follow-through
Clear communication and accountability across departments
Consistent member experience and operational excellence
Actively participate in daily membership sales activities including:
Lead follow-up
Consultations and tours
Objection handling
Close support
Support Membership Coaches by:
Reinforcing sales scripts and processes
Reviewing daily and weekly sales performance
Coaching behaviors that drive conversion (urgency, follow-up, presentation)
Support Personal Training sales by:
Driving PT visibility on the floor
Reinforcing PT value with members
Supporting trainers in setting PT consultations and close opportunities
Partnering with the GM to identify PT sales gaps and opportunities
Maintain strong situational awareness of daily sales pacing and take action when goals are at risk
Serve as a point of support for Trainers related to:
Reinforce expectations around:
PT professionalism
Member follow-up
Conversion opportunities
Collaborate with GM and Training leadership to:
Identify high-potential trainers
Flag PT performance concerns
Support PT campaigns and initiatives
Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, and follow-through
Provide real-time coaching and feedback to:
Membership Coaches
Trainers
Front desk staff
Reinforce accountability standards (attendance, engagement, communication)
Assist GM with documentation and escalation of performance or conduct issues
Assist GM with:
Serve as acting leader on site in GM’s absence
Communicate issues, wins, and risks clearly and in real time
Required
Sales experience in a customer-facing environment (fitness, retail, hospitality preferred)
Demonstrated ability to influence and coach without direct authority
Strong communication and follow-through
Comfort with performance metrics and accountability
Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, events)

Fitness industry experience
Experience supporting or coaching sales teams
