Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal and plastic components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality inspection will ensure that products meet the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
- Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to optimize machining processes
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precise manufacturing
- Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs)
- Conduct precision measurements during machining using micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Perform quality inspections on finished parts utilizing measurement instruments and visual inspection techniques to verify adherence to quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to machine operation, welding, grinding, and handling power tools
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is preferred
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation for accurate part production
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks and general CAM programming skills for toolpath generation
- Experience with various machining tools including lathes, mills, grinders, hand tools, and tooling setups
- Mechanical knowledge related to metal machining, plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and assembly procedures
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings with GD&T specifications for precise manufacturing tolerances
- Familiarity with measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and bore gauges for quality control
- Basic math skills essential for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances
- Experience with machine setup procedures on CNC lathe and milling machines; knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
